Bass 12 Smellycat 0

Yup they kicked my a$$. Never have I been so soundly defeated. Of those 12 5-6 were keepers, one was on the LARGE size and she taught me to go back to knot school.

I had forgotten my plug bag and had my standard small bag with reserves in it so thats what I fished.

1 plug notta, Storm shad notta hit nothing.

I rumaged through the bag & found some rubber bait thingys I had never used before. They are called LEDGERUNNERS and today I am a believer. I went from ZERO hit/swirls/follows to all out MAYHEM. Thanks Bob.

Now my problem - I have never used these things and obviously had a problem "hooking up". Rigged them as shown by the manufacterer using 5/0 Owner hooks. I did have to insert 4 lead thingies because of the wind.
What to do?
I got some 7/0 hooks from Mikecc because it looked to like the rubber took up all the hooking space. Any ideas

For those of you who want to know where I was fishing I was with #^&#^&#^&#^& Cheney and you know where he is....

We always use 7/0 or 8/0. That doesn't mean its right but that's what we use.

I don't know where #^&#^&#^&#^& Cheney is????

Good answere!

Oh BTW , when I said we use 7/0 or 8/0 , we only use 7/0 when we can't get 8/0.

Today I have redeemed myself. The only 2 fish caught today were both keepers. The 7/0 hooks worked just fine.

I will say anyone who reads this b careful w/Owner hooks. Man those things are dangerous. Work Great.

Again Ledgrunner Baits are the Ba!!s

After hooking up immediatly on a Sirois special I threw wood & storms w/no hits back to the rubbah and whamo!

LEDGERUNNERS LEDGERUNNERS

I just may have to stay over here, I tried today but the bridge was backed up going off so I turned around and mowed the lawn.
Thats OK though I got a huge bag O Bass in the fridge and my arm is sore from reeeeeling'm in.
