JR you brightened my day when I really needed it
Messed up my knee pretty bad last night playing B-ball with the guys from work. Tried to sleep, but couldn't. Drove myself to the ER at Baystate at 2:00 am. They triaged me, then I heard it was going to be at least a 5 hour wait. I'm in some prettuy serious pain, so I say F that, and drive to Holyoke Hospital who takes me right away. The Dr. takes a look and thinks it's a maniscus or ligament damage. Writes me a script for 15 percs, tells me to get a referral to New England orthapedics and sends me on my way. Now it's about 4:30 aned I go to a 24 hour CVS to get it filled. As I'm pulling out (it's snowing pretty good at this point), I hear thump, tjhump, thump, thump. I pull over to find I have a huge screw sticking out of my tire and the air is leaking out. I then drive to my parents house, cause the oldman has a hydrolic jack, and I figure he'll give me a hand. Wrong. He's already on his way to work. I somehow manage to change it myself and get to work by 7:30. Prior to this mess, I'm already stressing out because my wife has an ultrasound at Baystate this afternoon. She is a very high risk pregnancy because of her heart surgery last year. And the last time we tried to get pregnant the fetus didn't have a heart beat right around this time (the three month period). Anyway, John the front page brightened my day a bit. I know that's a lot to swallow. But I sure hope my day ends better then it began. Wish me luck.

I'll call you when I get out tonight. Jess is going out with her friends, so It looks like I am Mr. Mom for the evening, which means I'll have lots of time to talk when Jack goes to bed (IF Jack goes to bed).

As long as wifey and baby are O.K. all is good. Will keep entire family in my thought until baby is born, and you are healed, then some.

Too bad you have to break your knee to get percocets - nothing like watching baseball on tv, high on a high-powered painkiller.
