Did well this weekend. Sat was mild temperatures, fish were lively, but not feeding that well- just seemed to be mouthing the flies, tough to keep buttoned. Went 3-15 with a darkhorse hen and two moldy cohos. Sunday was much colder, but the fish were much more aggressive- went 4-6. Amazing quality of fish as well- they were large, and mostly fresh chrome. Broke my PB twice. Can't wait to go back.

last ones, some of the best fish of the trip. Arden got a huge buck on Saturday morning but jumped out of the net before we could get the camera. Went 15, easy. The other chromers were probably around 13, maybe 14.

Absolutely. Spinning with noodle rods is probably the most popular method. Jack and friends may have been fishing a "fly fishing only section" or what many call "the hatchery". But a vast majority of the river is open to any type of method.

NP- I know nothing about centerpin or spin fishing up there, I'd be just as interested as you are to find out more
Timetable? Fall is salmon... Chinook, coho, chum (I think) and the occasional Atlantic. Steelhead are in the winter... Peaking in Feb from what I've heard (and experienced!). There are summer steelhead as well, I've never gone after them though. This time of year you also have a chance of tangling with some huge browns- I've seen ~8 lbers caught there. Beautiful fish, kiped out males.
For a noodle setup I can't imagine that you would do much different then fly... Really light main line (~12 lb mono?) and probably a 6 lb leader. But someone with more experience than I could probably fill in.

Niko
Time table: Steelies - Nov through April - fish will be in the river all winter.
I use 8lb running line - 4-6lb leader material - flourocarbon leader makes a BIG difference for this fishing IMO.
Drifting egg sacks, beads, and flies (egg patterns or stone flies).
Spinning methods: Bottom scratch with lead or use floats.
Plenty of websites - just google steelhead and pulaski.
Shoot me a pm for any specifics.

River was around 680 CFS, not too bad, we got there right as they dropped the flow from 1040. Primo. Weather was crazy warm on Sat, 38, a couple little flurries. Colder on Sunday had to clear the ice from the guides a few times.
Amazing how little snow was on the ground. Looked like that storm you went through had already melted all away.

Real Magic sprayed on guides will help with icing.
I float fish so spray your float and line down to your max. cast. This will help your mainline float.
Worth the effort.
