Thanks guys,i'll inquire further on the commando products.I like to do business with local businesses and Dave lives not far from me.I already have some of his equipment and would like to keep my stuff matched up if possible. He has a good product as do the other companies but poor business savy.I own a tr#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g company and could not survive if i didn't reply to my customers. Then again i don't play megabucks.Off to Comando web site.

You wont be let down with Commando. I live in south shore MA and work in Wareham ,if your local to either and you want to see a Commando 4 tube bag for yourself shoot me a PM ,I'm still blown away by the quality and craftmanship they put into their bags and gear. If you want top notch customer service and a great product ,look up Commando.

Check out the commando bags. I have 5 of them, a cube, a two tube, a four tube and two three tubes. Each one serves their own purpose at certain times. Tom is a great guy to do business with and will build you what YOU want in a bag.

Thanks guys for giving me the info i requested. In the mean time i got in touch with Dave from MAK.Had a good long talk with him and i believe contact with him will be what we expect it to be.Invited me to his shop to show me a whole new line of products for 2012.I appologised to him for the thread and he did the same back promising this will never happen again.I tend to be to harsh when i feel like someone is being neglectful.Don't like when i can't have my toys.I won't post like that again.I have a little growing up to do.

You did nothing wrong and got results, that is all that matters, it's business after all.

This is always the story with this company, always since day one. Always some lame excuse he feeds guys untill it happens again and then he comes up with something else. I just don't understand how a business does not respond to customers when they are trying to spend money, what is going to happen when you have an issue with that rubber bottom falling apart on that bag?? I also don't understand how you as a customer think this is ok?? Hey look at the bright side atleast you didn't pay for a bag and then never get one right? What's even funnier is this guy is a sponser of this site, there has been two threads about this with in a week, you would think he would come defend how great his customer service is, what a joke....

Guys - please give him a break - we don't know what he is up to at the moment.
Speaking for myself - I was down all last week and just today worked for a few hours...
Thanks,
John

John - maybe you are right we should give MAK a break, we may not know what he is up to at the moment, hopefully everything is ok.....but in all fairness to the consumers of his products he or someone on from his company should respond in a timely manner, especially in a competitive market like this. I have had the same issue in the past with no response, it seems like a trend. I now own 2 Commando Bags.

JohnR,
While I'm very happy with my bag, it's just gospel that David doesn't return emails. I bought a bag from him last year at RISAA and because of problems, he couldn't print me a receipt. I emailed him on 3 different occasions and have never heard back . It's been 10 months now and I'm sure he's had time to check his email. Needless to say, I will not buy from him again.

I can add a positive spin. When Mak became a sponsor here I needed a surf belt. I placed my order, only a few hours later my phone rang it was Dave from Mak. He verified my order, confirmed everything thanked me for doing business and shipped the belt the next day. My experience was great. I did some business with someone who helps the site and it was a great transaction start to finish. I can also say the same for Tom from Commando, I met him last year saw his surfbags over the season and wanted one. I ordered one for Tyler and I, shipped quickly and the bags are awesome. Tom stayed in touch the whole time. I know we are all picky about our gear, but let's not degrade a business man and sponsor here.

Personally, I won't deal with that kind of no response BS. That's why I sold the ZB I bought a couple of years ago......
Big thumbs up for Commando- awesome bag, great guy.

I agree, you never know what a guy is going through. However, I've heard from multiple friends that MAK is unresponsive (i heard this a few yrs ago). Before I knew about Commando I tried contacting MAK and didn't get a response.
Today I own 4 Commando bags and a plier sheath. There isn't a better bag or better customer service on the market. Kudos to Tom for running a tight ship and delivering a high quality product. Hell of a fisherman too.
