About 5 years ago I stopped subscribing because my issues would show up a week late or not at all. I got a couple of issues with coffee stains and spaghetti sauce on them. When I complained at my local PO that I thought one of them was taking my copy home and reading it, they got real indignant about it.
I am betting that happens more times than not.

i dont care one way or the oter... I've been getting that mag for as long as it has been in existance... it's just "reading room" material anyway.. the date is not important..

I've been having a problem getting torn up Fishermen mags for one, usually pretty close to on time or I get 2 the same day, or w/in 2 days. I also had a problem receiving my fathers mail, went to the post office and even though we live in different towns, the postmaster said that the mail is divided by the first 4 letters of the last name, I guess we ran into a problem cause i lived in his town at one point. If anyone is having an issue relating to this, apparently the only way to resolve it is by having the addressee call the sender to correct the problem(that still hasn't corrected it 100%.)

I can assure you that the problem stems 100% from a post office somewhere along the line. Every single copy of the magazine leaves our New York office at the same time each week whether you live 10 feet from the office or 1000 miles away. Email me and I will get a postal watch set up for you.

Same situation here....ripped, stained or missing. Occasionally 2 issues in 2 days. Once had a page taken out of the middle of the mag. Almost didn't renew!

Absolutely correct... I'm trying to get my thoughts together to be concise and to the point... I've been burying my frustrations with the state of the PO for so long, I have to be careful.... I don't want to take up to much cyberspace with my rant... also don't want to have an aneurysm or something...

edit: If I post before 7:30 AM, rest assured, I will do it on my break. Don't want to be accused of being part of the problem..

Same thing was happening to me (one town to your south). Called the Fisherman, they did a "postal watch", & problem solved. About a year later, same thing and same solution! Definitely a cheap postal employee riding on my subscription.

I get mine from my local news stand.....every Thursday without fail and no tears, no stains and no errors!!! PO sucks! I tend to get all my mags from the news stand because nothing pisses me off more than a destroyed issue showing up at my house!!!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Angry

Well, I've been writing the most impassioned response I have ever created anywhere online or on paper in a long time, maybe ever. However, since I've been typing since 9:00 AM, when I went to post I got an error saying the token has been reset.
If I don't go slit my throat right now, JR can you advise what to do when typing something long so that doesn't happen again?? Type it in wordpad and then C&P it?? thanks... though I'm not promising I can do this again, I will try... 5 hrs. till the alarm goes off... nite nite....
