Anyone going to Worcester this weekend?
Anyone going to Worcester this weekend?
I'm thinking about it but may try to fish instead... I like the show cause there are some good items like soft plastics and reels (don't need any reels ) but it is way crowded...

I'm going to the Worcester show this weekend. Not sure of day yet but I'm going.
Anybody else going?
Figured I'd move this up into one thread since John and I posted almost at the same time.

Every year I say that I'm not gonna take the drive but I end up going. Probably on Sunday. Looks like most of the good striper stuff is scheduled for that day.

I've lost interest in the Worcester show. It's almost a carbon copy every year and I've numbed my mind there too many times, plus I'm going fishing instead.
The springfield show is farther, but it's a bigger show. I think the same people are putting on the Wilmington show this year as well, so that one should be better than Worcester as well. That ones on Feb 9-11th I believe.
Tight lines.

John, I'm going Sunday A.M. I want to catch Mike Laptew's video show.
If you have the chance to go fishing well that's a no brainer, go fishing- you have enough reels. GO FISHING

Slip Knot, I saw MIkes latest film inWarren last month .I didn't like it as much as his others, he had nice footage of places i'll never get but most of it is with Gary C ,showing just the bent rod and the end results. Still he has alot of talent /knowledge soooooo//

never been to Worchester show and thought about it to shrug off some of the icicles...but if GS says Springfield is bigger I may not bother (seeing how Worchester is an hour and a half and Springfield five minutes away) I think I will just wait...

Jenn, did you get your reel yet? Regarding the two shows Springfield maybe bigger but actually has less fishing stuff than Worchester. There are a lot of hunting booths and fishing/hunting guide services there. The Mass Bass show is probably the place for the best buys from what I hear.

The Mass Bass show is actually pretty good. Nobody selling "as seen on TV" or collapsable coolers or stupid things that have absolutely nothing to do with fishing. This show is local vendors: guides, tackle shops, manufacture's reps, and mom and pop lure companies. Lots of good deals and it's all fishing.
Last year, the show was a huge success with lots of good stuff and plenty of room to get around. Nowhere near as crowded as the Worcester show usually is...
Besides, I'll have a booth there this year again ;D

The Mass Bass (Plymouth) show is the best if you are a surfcaster. Last year I found it to be, far a way, the most useful show and I went to all of them.
This year I vowed only to go to Plymouth and Worcester(which I thought was better than Springfield), but it looks like I won't even get to Worcester this weekend.
I have already put Mass Bass on my calendar. No way I miss that one.

Clammer, I'm just showing the website, not really selling anything.
Jenn, you should make it out as it is a pretty good show for fishing stuff... Hope to see you there..

Jenn,
You have to go, you NEED to go to the MSBA show. Look it's only about 2 and a half hour dirve for you, tons of stuff. Tell the hubby that you are jonesing (like the rest of us) and you need a fix. And seeing that you'll spend money on that fix, at least you can spend it at deeper discounts. I tell my wife "Honey, I know I'm sick, I admit there's a problem. But it was on SALE, honey, if I didn't buy it, someone else would" OK, role reversal might not work as well for you but it's worth a shot :P
