Did you see the show on real mermaids?

Damn! It appears there could have been such a thing a long time ago.

interesting theory and I found the show entertaining. Lot of mixing fact and fiction, taking a few factual things and extrapolating way down the line (similar to a Dan Brown book). there's a lot presented as factual by the "scientists" with credibility given by their affiliations with NOAA and prestigious colleges, which is all wiped out by a quick disclaimer at the end saying that none of the people are real and that none of the organizations support any of the information presented.

i though the stuff about killer whales decending from wolf like land animals was pretty interesting. And the theory that polar bears are currently evolving from the land based brown bear to an aquadic mammal was cool.

Yeah, I saw that show too. Really cool. Not sure how factual any of that stuff was, but the idea behind it was great. It was entertaining if nothing else.

The mermaids in Pirates of the Caribbean were pretty attractive.

So I guess they have given up on trying to find Bigffor and Nessie, and are moving on to the next thing on their list?

Whenever I see the show description highlighting "speculating" by "experts", I try and find somethinh else to watch.

It turned out to be a glorified version of "The Lost Tapes" tv show.

If you are going to do a show about a wythical creature please don't insult my intelligence by trying to sound like you have facts and tons of evidence when you have NOTHING. I have and will change the channel every time I start to get that "tv show for idiots" feeling from whatever is being viewed.

I knew they were all actors from the get go. I couldn't stop watching though. The best part was the kids cell phone vid. I thin it was called "Mermaids: Body found" Something like that. It was in between 2 episodes of River Monsters.

seals + plovers =

yeah, it was transparent and you could tell they were actors (too attractive and well spoken for scientists), but i'm sure alot of people walked away thinking that there is proof that mermaids are real and that the government is hiding it.
