Really getting into cigars latley. Picked up a nice little travel humidor and been bringing them on the boat and out with me. What are you guys smoking out there? where you buying them? I just put a order in on cigarinternational. Seems to be good deals online.

Try drew estate DIRT. The only one I can say I truly enjoy. Sweet as hell! I have smoke pretty much everything as I used to have a pretty good collection and a nice humidor. I ended up killing off the humidor and giving most of the cigars away. As I figured I could just pic up a dirt or 2 whenever I wanted to smoke up

I would also visit the local cigar shop and not buy online. Support the local business, make some friends, get cigars that you can touch, taste and smell. They will usually hook you up with new products that come in and you can smoke in most shops.

for a guys night out, try SMOKE in providence, its a cigar bar, well vented, good selection, not sure how the prices are, girls that work there are smoke shows, they wear lingerie, cool place to check out.

Like westport said support local business, tell them your new and looking for info, most places are run by knowledgable people and will help you out and point you in the right direction.

I like em for when the bugs are bad, but tough to smoke in a wetsuit.

cant go wrong with an avo or griffin

avo short story for a quick 45 minute smoke\
avo domain if I can ever sit back for a couple hours and really enjoy

cao is a good smoke...can usually find them on specail somewhere

padilla is a good smoke...all of them finish real heavy

cant go wrong with a punch either

you can get into a good smoke for 4 or 5 bucks...no need to go for the 10+ ropes

smoke is good.....girls are super duper there

usually get my singles local....if I put in a big order I go to cigar international or thompson

I smoke anywhere from 2 to 10 cigars per week, depending on if I'm doing a lot of fishing and or drinking. For fishing and doing yard work, I usually smoke cheaper cigars like Padilla Fumas or Bahia's. If I'm in the mood for something with more flavor, I really like the Graycliff Turbo or Black Pearl Maduro. Right now my favorite is the Acid Opulence 3 by Drew Estate. If you like a sweet flavor profile, this one's amazing. It's pricey but great for a change of pace from the regular cigars.

I mostly order boxes or bundles and find that Cigars International has the best prices by far and they ship super fast. I'll go into the local shops, but only to try new cigars or to pick up some singles. I usually go to Brennan's in Brockton. As much as I'd like to help out the local guy, I can't see spending twice as much for a box of cigars. If you could buy a reel for $800 at the local B&T or spend $400 for it online, what would you do?

yeah ive been mostly tugging on Punch, Macanudo's, R&J, ect. Going to swing by a local shop during work and pick up a couple single for the weekend.

Just what I need is a new hobby. Now Im buying cigars like I used to buy plugs.

Jim i like the avo short story. When im on the water, or having a cocktail a 45 minute smoke is exactly what im looking for.

I love cigars also. Bassballer, you're right. It can get mighty expensive, especially if you get into the boutique/rarer cigars . I'm another one that buys some sticks at local shops, but will buy boxes online. NY state's taxes and surcharges make it ridiculous to buy much at the local shops . The other drawback to shops is that very few local shops are as big as some of the online stores.

As far as online shops go, CI is good. Famous Smoke Shop is comparable. Both offer a huge assortment of samplers so you can try different brands and blends for short money. Famous also has a bunch of brands and sizes offered as 5 packs (which is nice because you can get 5 cigars to make sure you really like them before investing in a box). Holt's Cigars and Jack Schwartz have mostly higher end established brands. If you really get into boutique brands, the site to go to is New Havana Cigars. They carry the latest hottest brands .

I smoke a whole bunch of stuff across the spectrum. Favorites are Monte Cristo (Cuban), Partagas (Cuban), Arturo Fuente Anejos, Padron Anniversarios, La Flor Dominicana Air Benders, and Illusione (both the regular and Epernay lines).

I'd avoid the Macanudo's. Their marketing and product positioning has created a mindset that they are better than they really are. For the $7-10 charged for most Macs, there are a ton of better options. I will buy the Macanudo tins on occasion if I want to have some shorter (10-15 minute) smokes on hand.

I'm a big Rocky Patel person - 1990 is I'm in the mood for something bold and the RP Connecticut for something more mild. Thompson Cigars almost always has a RP variety pack on sale that comes out to $6-7/cigar.

I've also been digging the Nubs lately.

I'd be interested depending on which cigars they are.

me too spence, depending on variety.

flyvice, you get those at RCE?

I have been smoking a lot lately. For me it comes and goes in waves.

I have been smoking a bunch of the Ashton VSG Robusto lately, which I love, but they're pricey.

For a cheap everyday smoke i'm a fan of the A. Fuente Rothchilde, among many others, but i always find my way back to the Fuente...

No, I got them from New Havana. As for a cheap everyday smoke, look for La Traviatas and seconds of the RP Decades or the Perdomo ESVs. I smoke maybe 3 cigars a week so I don't always have to look a cheapo.

Smoked one each of the Little Monsters. My 2 favorites are the Baby Face and the Lil' Drac. The Lil' Drac was a spicy little flavor bomb. And for any fans of Illusione cigars, New Havana Cigars has the 2012 Singulare Vimanas.

I sound like a most intersting man in the world commercial for Dos equis. I don't always smoke cigars but when I do I smoke Fuente. Stay thirsty my friends!
