Cool Be prepared ahead of time...

...I gotta laugh about this now...

Got up dis mornin' @ 3am...met up with the boat-gye. He's got the hood open on the Ford, snooping around with a flashlight...when he sees me...he says..."got any fuses, the tail lights on the trailer blew one out"...I go lookin', I got nada in the style he needed..<<<20amp>>>...foreign vz. domestic.....he pulls out the rear wiper fuse...and as he's pushing it in..I ask..."did you find out WHY it blew".. ...ZAPP!!...too late, blew another one... ..I investigate and find the wires being pinched by the ball-hitch...we lift and remove them to find them crushed. We take care of that, and he pulls out the anti-theft fuse...and shazaam, we got light. Start heading to ** * * ** , yeah..that spot...cruising at a lovely 60 mph...when suddenly, "POP" goes the left trailer tire, we almost lose it - but he regains control...he decides to stop in the "slow" lane ...We're not out of the truck 5 minutes when along comes an 18wheel rig..."AAAAAARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!"...just missing us as we're right next to an off-ramp right after a bend in the highway...phew!!...we move the truck/trailer into the breakdown lane...I take a peek into his cargo area and see a spare tire...he's still cursing the flat...so I open the tail-gait-window...and then he says..."what are ya doing?"...I say..."getting your spare out"...he says..."Why???....it's flat, I hit a curb yesterday..."... ...we start taking the gear out of the boat while he curses away and I'm just laughing my aRse off, (what else can ya do? right).....So what next??...yep, mr. police-officer pulls up. My boat gye says "oh #^&#^&#^&#^&!!...I ask him what's the matter...he says "I lost my license this weekend, you drove oK??"......what a freakin' mornin'.....After we explain what happened, and why I was driving the boat-gye's truck, <<yeah right>>..he follows us to a Park & Ride. We unhitch the trailer...and get ready to depart. Mr. Policeman says..."hey, do you guys know your boat isn't registered??"..."where's the sticker??"... ...

What a $#%#$% morning!!!

Morale of the story???...I dont' know!!!...just thought I'd share an experience where many things can be learned. BE PREPARED FOR ANYTHING!!

Bloo-

...p.s...(yeah, he was pissed that I took a picture...and couldn't stop laughing the whole time)...

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots

I've had those days but usually don't take it as well as you. You should have seen me towing my boat 1/2 mile in 45 degree water up to my chest down the Conn. river 2 weeks ago. Definitely not laughing.

Things done at the last possible minute are done with the greatest possible information. Procrastination is, therefore, the most efficient means of doing things.
