Beautiful Morning!!

My youngest woke up at 4am crying this morning - so since I was up anyway - decided to go out!

Trolled the West side of Connanicut (north of the bridge) - First pass was with an umbrella rig - WHAM - Double header - two fish over 30". After that switched to a spinning rig with a 5" Wildeye Storm shad. Lost 2 on the way to the boat - then had a blue cut the lure in half - then finally landed a 29 incher.

Nice way to start the day

Nice going B-assman, sounds like you have the perfect alarm clock. I am headed out now just to get some fresh air and hit a few spots. Hope I get lucky.

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Slingah - you're so right. I can't imagine a better way to start a work day. I did the same thing. I got about 3 hrs of fishing in today and was still in the office by 9:00

I would do it again tomorrow - but it'll probably be raining AGAIN!

179 - what is "the hatch"? - FYI saw scott (Viking) at the newport boat show on Sunday (in the rain) with a 202 rigged like yours (140/ t top, etc) but yellow hull (like mine). Im loving the 185 but can feel the 3ft disease starting again ;-)
