Scallop Pattern Musso Pines... Sr & Jr

I just made a Senior and Junior Surface swimmer for a few fishing friends. I cut both blue painting tape masks at the same time.. they are applied to a piece of wax paper... one on each side so I get a nice symmetrical scallop pattern when cut with small fly tying scissors.. Both of these are made with lefty 2 high slot lips. I think the original pine senior surface swimmer had a mid slot lip... both will be rigged with cut 3/0s and tail flags

Very nice, Chris.

Thanks for the tip on symmetry with the tape-on-wax paper trick.

Does the adhesive from the blue tape ever leave any residue behind to mess with the epoxy top coat?

Eric... if you use the 3M blue painters tape.. it leaves no residue and the clear coat adheres perfectly

If I lost it, I'd have to go swim for it. Absolutely sick piece of wood.
