I've been listening to some stuff that I doubt many of you have heard of. The Gutter Twins and The Night Marchers are two newer bands I've been listening to lately. Also, I've been kinda liking the new Metallica cd. I hadn't listened to them in a long time and the new stuff is pretty good.

Gwen Stefani?
I doubt, sir, that it's a case of strictly musical interest.
Okay, alright, I'll admit it...she's a damned hot recreational unit. Daddy likey...
Actually she's good too - musically. I like Holler Back Girl.
Old Uncle Crafty doesn't really know what that is, but he likes it...

I've been listening to these guys recently and just found this video. The song is good on it's own, but the video is maybe the best I've ever watched!
Any guy over the age of 10 who doesn't want to do what the guys in this video are doing, has no soul.

I last album I bought was the White Stripes, Get Behind me Satan. I also got into Jack Johnson around the same time. I havent heard too much lately that I really like.
Vanessa Hudgens.
Sorry Mistake. that is what I just put on my daughters I Pod last nite. I didn't listen to it, really. I also covertly put on Zappa's Yellow Snow too. I do that a lot to see if I get a reaction.

Two excellent choices.

Been listening to the new John Mayer CD, first half is pretty good, then goes down hill. I'm a fan though
some other good new stuff out there:
Shinedown
Alter Bridge - haven't release an album in like 2 years, but it is basically Creed without the a-hole lead singer, and they are like 10 times better!
I was going through some old papers this past weekend and came across some stuff from the early 80's when I went "clubbing" every Friday amd Saturday night.
I used to see plenty of punk rock/new wave/alternative rock bands.
Some I have on CD, some have been lost to the ages.
Some of my favorites are Private Lightning, The New Models, Face to Face (with Laurie Sargent), Ministry, The Zone, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran.
Then I began mellowing a bit with some REALLY eclectic musical tastes: Screaming Jay Hawkins, Bootsie Collins, B B King, Squirrel Nut Zippers.
Now I relax with sonme Johnny Cash, any number of the "Country Cavalcade" music stars (Patsy Cline, Conway Twitty, Hank Williams Sr.) and some local bands like The Spurs, The Cranktones and The Coachmen.
Some might say my musical tastes are "all over the place", but I have never been pigeon-holed into one genre of music. I really do like just about every type around (except rap - to negative/violent).
I got the new Norah Jones cd for Christmas, I love everyrthg she has ever done, the new cd is a dpearture from the country, jazz-ish stuff she has done before. Its more pop but so far I like it. I also have a mad crush on her
Levon Helms - Electric Dirt
A Low Anthem - Oh My God Charlie Darwin
Greenday - 21st Century Breakdown
The Avett Brothers - I and You And Love
Imogen Heap - Ellipse
Wilco - Wilco (The Album)
