I caught a bunch on a trip to Baja Mexico a few years ago.
tasty and fun but watch out when you bring them onboard.

Back in the day my grandmother would have put one of those bad boys in the spaghetti sauce.
Sunday afternoon dinner,,, bread coming out of the oven,,, sauce simmering on the stove...

We use to catch those off of Southern Cali, on the Coast Guard cutter. No where near that size, but we'd catch enough in a night to serve calamari to 75 people a few times on a 60 day patrol. We use to set up enough halogens on deck to make Terrance proud.
