Spoke with him a number of years ago to research some needlefish history. Nice man.

Sorry to hear that news
RIP Bob
I still have one of his plugs, I'll just hang on to it and not fish it
Condolences to his friends and family

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.
1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!
It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Made some of the best small bottle plugs ever. I remember a morning 30 years ago at Charlestown beach crushing 30# on a blue and white bottle of his. Think it must have looked like sea herring. I still have one left which will now be retired.

I remember waiting at Betty & Nicks for Bob to drop off his plugs when he started building. 15-20 guys grabbing 4 or 5 each, they would be gone in 20 minutes. He was the one who got me interested in building but it was years later that I finally took the plunge. I still have the first surfster I made in the 80's, a copy of Bob's.
RIP Bob

I was thinking the same thing. I think it's that some of us are all around the same age and our generation is reaching that milestone where they start to leave in bunches .

RIP Bob. I have one yellow darter in memory of him so it will remain in my line up for this year and hopefully he'll grant me a fat slob this year.
