heading out 4th time ever, 1st this year

heading out of scituate harbor for a few hrs.- will be staying relatively close once i get past the lobster buoys and bell. just back and forth. ive got a couple tubes, and a walmart special umbrella with rubber eels i thought i'd mess with.

if i get tired of running ill drift and drop some buck tails and see what happens.

i dont really know what im doing fishing or boating but im trying.
still no electronics beyond radio. hard to pull the trigger on that.

if you see me in my little a short blast or a wave would be cool.
i'll have radio set to scan - i even do that at home with handheld. listening to people calling the launch.

20' hardtop, downeast/sisu- still tagged as "bikini bottom".
OB. navy hull. white house.
-later.

no fish however a success all the same.
clean out of the dock. nice and smooth.
went for fuel and engine didnt want to grab reverse.
the lovely ladies at the dock hauled me in.

fuled up, reverse worked fine. so went anyway.
circled around by the NOAA/StationScituate dock
got up the guts to leave the harbor.

went straight for the bell. drifted there a bit.
put on a couple tubes, let out some line, and puttered around.
eventually heading down well past pegotty.

was some rough stuff here and there. my tiny ship was tossed.
as were my cookies. this low draft flat bottom really bounces along.

settled my self and the boat. kept it pointed better and went back up past the bell and off egypt.
saw the lucky-finn coming back so headed in.
they block my slip and i didnt want to struggle.

went in real smooth.
then met some new friends on the dock.

looking forward to more good times.

again. a great success.

Well done. As the great white bucket guy say, even the greatest journey begins with a single step.

If you are going to tube, use lead line and a seaworm on the hook. Go very slow. Fish 15-18 feet of water. Stay near lobster pots since they are usually over rocks and bass like rocks.

If you are looking for bluefish, try trolling surface lines with a leader and some sort of swimming plug like a rapala shad rap.
