What Kind of Spider is This?
Found it on the house yesterday.

It's a garden spider, part of the "orb web" family of spiders that spin those traditional circular webs.
I love seeing them in action when a good size meal finds its way into their trap.

and throwing it into their web
just to watch them spin it up for later liquid munchies

I used to like tossing a grasshopper in the web of the real big ones when I was a kid....and they can get pretty big

i put this new trimmer line on my weed whacker yesterday that's as tough as NAILS
and was just about to shred some 3 foot high weeds and this huge
grasshopper is sitting there motionless totally unaware of his predicament. lol
|
