Blizzard? No sustained winds, no drifting snow and probably less than a foot of wet snow. Routine stuff, freeze your excess bread supply.

My attitude is just fine thank you. Seriously, it's winter in NE. What do you expect? I'm all cleaned out and really don't mind doing it all that much. Ipod in the ears and snowblower chugging away.

Bring it on Mother Nature!!! I like storms measured in feet not inches. I am up North now and we are getting dumped on, and I love it!

The Pacific/ North American teleconnection pattern (PNA) block, jetstream dipping into TX and a Blocking NAO, we get what we got.
At least we're not in the mid-atlantic states. We could skate to the packie

yeah Penn is in some tough shape....
playing with the widow makers........
they should build an ice storm machine
similar to that kind that grabs the tree at the base
cuts it then limbs it all in one operation kinda deal
stick the guy in a protective cage with multiple chainsaw arms
that can all be cutting away.... like an auto bot thang...

02.05.2014 - 3:59pm my driveway is cleared and salted. path from the road to my front door is cleared and salted. I'm waiting for a package to be delivered. Mail dude shows up... sits in truck for 25 minutes. Delivers ZERO mail, and drives off for the day.
02.06.2014 - mid day I check tracking on package I was waiting for: went out for delivery at 9am 02.05.2014, left notice, there was no secure location to leave package. Mail guy never got out of his truck on 02.05.2014? I dont know if I should say something to him, but I stopped myself from walking out there yesterday and giving him the w t f get your stuff together talk.

Do you know if your carrier is a rural carrier? If he is, they are not required to leave the truck to attempt delivery, (honk honk) but the good ones do... Sounds like a lazy one.

Vic I had that happen one day! Watched the Postman sitting at the box for what seemed like a long time. He drove on and I went to the box and found an "Undeliverable" notification in the box!!! THE GUY NEVER LEFT HIS TRUCK TO COME TO MY DOOR!!!!!! I got in my truck, drove up the road and blocked him where he was stopped and asked him WTF???!!!! He said he could not give me the package that I had to go to the PO!!!! I went to the PO and blasted the Postmaster for all the friggin good that did! Guy claimed he came to the door....I told him I was standing there watching him...he never left the truck! Lazy ass bastards!!!!!

Larry, some icing on the cake, my regular mail guy is a douche. He's the guy that sat in his truck on 02.05.2014. He did not even bother to leave a notice!!! When I tell you he sat in his truck doing nothing for about a half an hour or so I'm not kidding. My office window faces where he parks.
A second mail carrier, delivered a different package entirely that same day 02.05.2014, the second guy I think covers for douche whenever he's out etc.
I did not say anything to him Yesterday or today because I know it would have started with what the $%^& is wrong with you?
If the guy does not want to do the job correctly I'm sure there are 9 or 10 other folks in need, who are willing to do a good job!

i think it has to do with how much
snow is on the driveway ..... as they don't have to
get stuck ...when it's (at all) too slippery...
