the color Olive
Pretty new to plug building, but yesterday, I had a weather opportunity to paint some of the winter's plugs with rattle cans. I thought I had enough of HD's newer paint colors (Oregano, Sage Green, Advocado, Eden, Italian Olive, etc. plus gold and white pearl) to come up with an acceptable olive for the backs of some plugs, but I'm not happy with anything I did. In general, either too far on the brownish side, or too dark/grey looking. What are most of you using for olive; either HD paint or other brands, products or combinations?

I my case, spray/rattle can is probably the operative word, and doesn't that limit my options? I was not talking about acrylic paints.
Here is a sample of the general color I'd like to get to.

stripermaineiac,
Thanks for the information. Is "basil" a color, and is it a spray paint or an acrylic, and do you know who makes it?

stripermaineiac,
Thanks. Looks pretty close to what I am looking for. Cooler and rain here now so I won't get to use it for a day or two; have you used it with Home Depot's rattle cans (Krylon or Painter's Touch) and have there been any compatibility issues?

They work good together but humidity is a bad issue. Colors can be combined if withing 1 hr but beyond that you MUST wait the 24 hrs. Plus every once n a while it will curdle for no reason with metalics an diff brand paints. Still can't figure it as it happence once n a while right in the middle of a bunch painted together from the same cans. Why is beyond me. when it does sand to bare wood an start over.

stripermaineiac,
Thanks. Appreciate your help. I'll post some pictures once I get some time and weather to get some painting done.
