On a scale from 1 to 10

how do you rate this years bass fishing compared to other years.

(I give it an 8 or 9, for me it really has been a great year so far)

I'll give it a 5. Me and my dad did not even go fishing yet, But a guy at M&D's gave us a nice 25lber yesterday, having it on the grill tonight.

A 2. I have pounded so much sand, yet haven't found consistent fast action of big fish yet like years past.

Can this scale go negitive?

I have only been out once, and all I have to show for it is a bug bitten leg.

-7, if the scale went lower I'd go for that number.
VERy Very very bad year for Ricky. See my cronies for this weekend's results.

As for me, 1 or same as Ricky's number, this year has gone bad for me too. I am getting tired of those bluefish. One of them swallowed my storm shad, a baby blues! Man, I want to break the ice fromt eh shore.

For me, personally, it's been a 10!

Of course, I just started fishing for stripaz' last year and had only caught a few schoolies.

Heck... Last weekend I caught more bass in one day than I had all last year and got my first keeper!

Yup... it's a 10!

10... for the season. I wasn't expecting to get out consistently, but have gotten into a grove of going out each weekend. I had fun with my dad and then my daughter this past weekend. More than ever, I'm really appreciating just getting some time out on the water and getting a few fish to play with.

6... for the fishing. The topwater bite was really good last season. By now I'd had some really good days from the shore and boat... I got out alot more, so its kinda hard to gauge, but its been slower. Its forced me to do more structure fishing which has been fairly productive and actually inspires more confidence. Its early yet... when I find some herring and get a 30lber this weekend, it'll be a 10

1... for the weather. It was a stinky winter and a stinky spring. Then it was 120 degrees for a week. This past weekend was very nice, but we are owed alot of nice weekends before I raise my scorecard.

Size of Catch is a definate 10

Numbers of catch is a solid 8

Frequency of trips is down a bit so i'll call it a 6 (that is two to three times a week)
