Any one in the Boat selling business

looking to Buy soon. but not sure if boat pricing follows car buying or is it its own animal?
haven't been able to find much on pricing or markup on any brands or where even to start ? I know some say low ball them but i want to be taken serious and I have the financing all ready in hand approved..

any suggestions

If timing was better I would but its a small window to use the funds before they morph into a New kitchen if you know what i mean.

Many questions to be answered. How big, what style, new or used?

If going used, remember, you are buying the engine. The engine is the most important thing on a used boat.

if i were you..... having been successfully married for more than 4 decades

i would be morphing the kitchen AND buying myself a boat
so that there is no "we should have invested into the kitchen instead" talk) during the OFF season >>> forever<<<

just my thoughts of course....

I would do research and narrow it down to 2 or so boats. Then you can really shop around and get an idea of what other people have paid for those exact boats. typically on new boats dealers are looking to make 18% mark up from what ive read. Gives you an idea of what your 'wiggle room is".

Are you willing to travel out of New England? Plenty more boats to be had if you expand the search to the Mid-Atlantic region as well.
