Thats not so nuts.
Nuts was a few years back I was on Hotreels with Steve & Jeff and we were looking for tuna.
Flat as calm day on Stellwagen we came up on a Mako just going slow along the surface..
Steve got the boat right up next to it.
Jeff thought he'd tried to free gaff it.
That was nuts !
I give Jeff credit.
He never let go of that gaff :-)

We gaffed a 100 pound mako that came right to the boat after we hooked it.
I said "ohh it's a little one just get it in the boat"
It twisted up our aftco 6 foot gaff like a pretzel and beat the crap outta 3 of us

considering that a chimpanzee is anywhere from
5 to ten times stronger than a human male
that a shark that rarely stops swimming
has to be at least 3 times stronger than a man is.
(or more)
