Rod builds

Looking to build a couple of rods next month for the boat. Both live line primarily. One spinning for eels with a Baitrunner (occasionally cast into rocks, mostly drift and rips)
thoughts on one blank handling both situations above,,,

The other conventional for live line macs and pogies

looking for thoughts on length, power and speed.
Not looking to break the bank here either,,,, still in learning curve with this rod build stuff,,,, enjoyable for sure....

New surf rod is next!

Gup,

I'll try to get some pics soon, I have been really under the weather with a respitory thing, wicked hard to breath....sucks......on some meds now after going to the doc.......

But I have in the spinner now a live lining rod that I think will kick butt. It is a discontinued Lami Blank I got a deal on. Inshore Classic Graphite IC90MH 7.5 ft, 15-25#.

Wrapping it acid wrap, fairly simple with a olive branch inlay. Using Silicon Nitride 2 guides, EVA butt grip with cork foregrip.

I am liking it so far. Have to figure what to do for a decorative butt wrap.

I have another all layed out with grips on. Wrapping it convention also for live lining. It is a Muskie Rod. MHX MU84H-MHX 20-50# I also like the feel of this blank. Will also use SN2 guides as they are one of my preferred guides.

Both blanks felt nice hanging just under 5 lbs from them on the static test for locating the guides.

Picked up a couple Rain shadow LB'ers, 7'ers, MH, FAST going convench. I'm hoping these will play well with the mac's come spring.
More to it than meets the eye!
