I have a boat up there and am looking to try some new spots. I was also wondering if anyone fishes Boon Island or Boon Ledge and could give me some tips?

Fish the rocks off Drakes Island, just north of Wells Beach. That place has always been good for me.

Drakes Island

I have a house on drakes island and i try to go up there as much as possible. I have done really good fishing in the deep night with chunks of mackerel. The biggest thing there is fishing off the 3 different patches of rocks on that beach. I caught a 43 inch striper off a spot at about 530 in the afternoon down there too. Right now that beach is just loaded with blues on the outging tides. You might wanna give Parsons a shot too. I fished that for like3 or 4 days and everyone morning i landed at least 10 blues all the fish were over 15 pounds the biggest being about 18 19 on the boga.

Thanks for the info. I usually fish parsons, and the mouth of the mousam around dead low with pretty good luck. Nothing too big though. Last year the biggest I caught was 36", and this year a couple in the low 30's". I'd like to fish the night on Drakes, but my boat doesnt have that great of lighting, and navigating between those rocks can get tricky. I tried fishing from the surf a few times but the lot closes at 9pm, so you can't really fish during the night. I came out of the water at 9pm last time and got an earful from a local police officer.
