Reel Repair & Service

Now that I bit the bullet on a Kayak, I expect to get back on some fresh water for the first time in probably 12 years, which means I have some reels that will need some TLC once I find them. I've found Bucko's to be less than satisfactory in the past and I swear they put on tons of grease to insure a return visit the next season. Anyone have any recommendations for sending in some older Abu conventional s? All my spinning gear was in use in the salt and in good shape, but I'd like to pay the money to get a few conventional s service right.

I have always had a good experience with Martha at Surfland in Plum Isand.

Dave Morton, Beavertail Rod and Reel. Absolutely the best. He's in North Kingstown, RI.

Dave Morton is unique in that he owns a machine shop. If your reel needs a part that is no longer available, no problem. Dave will just make a new one.
