Tiverton / Newport
Hey Guys
I'll be in Tiverton with my wife and 6mo old son staying in a little cottage on the water this weekend. We'll likely relax and cook for most of the weekend, but was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for good lunch/brunch places in the neighborhood? Also a good spot for a drink? We don't mind driving so if everything is down in Newport that's fine too.
Also - Can anyone recommend a fish market in the area?
Thanks!

Anthony's seafood on Aquidneck ave is awesome the Portuguese chowder is great, and they have a great variety of fresh fish in the market side. The moorrng restaurant in Newport is pricey but really good.

Black Goose is a great lunch spot. Right across the road is Bridgeport seafood, limited selection but the quality is always top notch. Red Dory and the Boathouse have the best bars if you want something a little nicer.
Newport has a lot but it's also 20 min away...depends on what you're after.

What Spence said...except Red Dory,I've not been so I can't comment.
If you do make it into Newport and want some insanely good bar/pub food check out Pour Judgement.

Worth the short trip. I wouldn't buy seafood anywhere else if I was staying this close. Plenty of good Portuguese restaurants in the neighborhood too.
