not sure about the site - i think someone else just posted a link. it also applies to fish at the top of the foodchain - blues, stripers, tuna, etc.

my wife, who's pregnant, is bummed since she can't have sushi.

There was a good article in the last OTW about fish, risks eating it, different outlooks for different places in different states, etc.

since both the charles and mystic river dump in to the harbor, arent the saltwater fish affected by eating bait fish from the rivers..i remember back not too long ago. that fishing from the charles was very taboo. the harbor dont look to clean now too..too many boaters that pollute.. ....good eats? not sure...but hella fun to catch blues and stripers, even for catch and release..is it ok to grille the fish from the harbor ?

Any preditor fish WILL have thigs in their system Mercury being the most prevelent. Small fish ingest it and up the food chin it goes. There was a good program on the discovery channel about the probs of eating sharks and the mercury leavels. Dryed fis are even worse than fresh.
