New to the board

Just wanted to say hi. I hope to make some new friends, and fishing partners, and gain some of your knowledge. I like to fish both freshwater for trout and saltwater for stripers.

Welcome aboard Specialist, always room for more on striped-bass.com. What areas do you fish?

I have fished Plum Island, many locatons in Boston , Squaw rock in Quincy, Hull gut, Plymouth powerplant, Canal, Fore river, Back river. It's tough from shore lots of mileage. I do charter with a guy a couple of times a year and we do quite well in the harbor, Boston light, Georges Island and his "secret " locations.

Then they wouldn't be secret now would they Mr Kav... Besides you protect your secret Harbor Spots, right? Who knows - they could be the same secret spots :P ... BTW - Mr Kav - I'll have some West Wall info up soon...

Welcome aboard Specialist,

I fish(ed) alot of those same spots as you having lived in Quincy and Braintree before moving to the big state of Rhody last fall... You've got some great fishing, especially along the south shore of Mass from Quincy to the Canal !! But you are right, alot of miles to cover to surf fish... Several others here work those grounds too - shore and boat...

Are you a MSBA guy?

Saltheart I believe you used to frequent another board I used to goto. Did you organize a Canal fishing day for the people on the Saltwater fishing home page??
