You too.

RI you'll probably get fined. NYC you'll probably get deaded.

Social distancing

You old guys know this but we always practiced "social distancing" when we fished back in the day.

1) How do you swing a 10' surf rod with someone standing next to you.

2) Nobody wants someone crossing their line.

3) Phrase of the day was "get off my rock!"

I'm sure I posted this long ago but one night on a reef at Black Point this nitwit wades out to where I am, stands right next to me and starts casting. He's 2' away. I politely asked if he knew how to swim because he was going to need that knowledge in about 30 seconds if he didn't get the #^&#^&#^&#^& away.

Now let's do surfers.
I never fished RI till late September at the earliest and fished till it was freezing.
One morning, shortly after dawn, I was on a rock on the SE corner of PJ. Like all the way south, any more you'd have to go west. I'd been picking fish for a couple of hours.
Looked behind me and there were a couple of surfers right behind me. They had to walk for 10 minutes to get there.
I cast again (not a short cast) and needless to say, immediately the geniuses put in and paddled right past me into my line.
It was all I could do to not set up on them when they paddled into my line and my plug came over one's shoulder.
I can't imagine fishing there in the summer.

Frasier: Niles, I’ve just had the most marvelous idea for a website! People will post their opinions, cheeky bon mots, and insights, and others will reply in kind!

Niles: You have met “people”, haven’t you?

Right you are John and that's one of the reasons I haven't been to the Canal since 2013.
