Well I got my fall lawn care done before the rain :-) so I am ready for fishing....I was planning on hitting the boat show on sat then fishing sunday. If it is a really crappy day on sat I may stay home and work on getting my electric downrigger installed and tested and then catch some bait for fishing for bonito on sunday.
Pretty much ready for the derby...just need the weather to cooperate a little now.

Getting my gear ready and checkin' it twice then heading up to the Cape for a week with the family. After I put the kids to bed, give the wife several glasses of wine, I will then proceed to fish every night. They'll never know - this is my plan anyway....

FW, you guys gonna be out on Sunday? I should be out rain or no.
I got the flies and they are very sweet. It pains me to give them away. The terminator is awesome I might have kept one of those. Thank you.
I started last night and actually fished from shore... the south shore. Very nice conditions with the perfect amount of surf. Slung a few eels and got one small keeper. One other run but didn't hook up. The moon was pretty but a little bright maybe.
Might hit it again tonight with JR and co... then go out on the harbor on sunday. Haven't checked the marine forecast yet.

I don't know... I'm not happy about the weather but I guess, after some consideration, I'll take the yak up to Quonny tomorrow morning and cover the inside. Was going to hit the surf but I'm dyin' to get back in the yak after a couple weeks out of it.
Next weeked should give us a good ride!
Good luck and be safe folks!

I'm not sure where I'm going to go yet, but I'll be fishing.
Does anyone else get stressed about what spot to hit?
I only fish RI from Quonny to the Narrow.
I'm not sure whats the best spot to hit in these conditions.
When the surf is rough I'm not able to get out to some of the bars. WInd from the east, maybe I'll try the fall hole at PJ.
Anyone had any luck there recently? You can PM me if you'd like...
Best of luck to all that fish !!!!

Fishing, fishing, fishing, and hopefully some catching thrown in there.....
Boat tournament out of Green Harbor midnight tonight to 4 tomorrow afternoon. We took 2nd place last year and I would have had 3rd had I not been in the ER trying to get a dorsal spine out of my finger and been able to weigh in my catch. Then its auto pilot to the Cape until Wednesday. I'm due................

Jim, was gonna buy a new phone today, but second thought the idea since Jack's boat has killed 2 phones in a month on me. I now know I am not part monkey. No hanging on motors for me no more.

Sunday: I am selling a steel gill bracket I had made for my boat before I found the alumin one, so I am finishing panting it with a Galvanic compound so that it can be top coated to the color of choice to the lucky guy who buys it

Hey Mr. Sandman, thanks for the report, that is good news indeed. Hope this hurricane stays away so we can get over there next Sunday. Are you gonna be over there fishing the derby from shore at all?????? Let me know and maybe we can hook up for a little line pullin.
Schoolie Monster, glad you like the flies, Wait till ya see that terminator in the water SCHWEET indeed. We may be out tomorrow but I am not quite sure yet. Been packing and getting lure boxes and rods and reels ready to go. Just got back from Tropicland, had to get the boat serviced and everything is looking Good. ALmost got wacked today on 93. Had a car break down right in front of me on the highway and everybody was traveling 65-70 she hit the brakes and I thought I was gonna get smacked from behind. Was lucky and that definatley would not have made my day at all. But am back home safe and sound.
For those of you who are headed to MV don;t forget to get your Sting Silver lures and deadly #^^^^&s!!!!!!!! Fore River bait & tackle has them in stock. Can't beat them for Albies. I have taken over 35 albies a season on them when we go for the 3 week trip. Me thinks its the red eyes!!!!
