Speaking of feeling like September, in the past few weeks I've seen a lot of Puffballs. Those big white mushrooms usually show up around when I'm done mowing for the year, late September Early October. Pretty odd that they are 8 weeks early.
I'm sure I'll be golfing this wknd and if the rivers drop a little more might even go fishing.

Went out to see a fellow musician and fisherman Neil Vatullo play last night
(Neil and the Vipers). Great to see live music. Working on a few yard projects today and weather permitting taking the kayak out Sunday morning.

Pick up the boat later today, after getting tilt motor replaced. Won't be in time to catch the tide so looking at a Monday launch. Gives me time to load selectively, instead of everything but the kitchen sink like I used to do.
Over did work the past two days so spend some time in neighbor's pool doing my PT and maybe some light trimming of trees, bushes and weeds that have gone crazy with all the rain.

Pretty sure I’ve seen them play the Ganny in Jamestown. If so, good band.

They play down there often. Neil was inducted into the Rhode Island music hall of fame last year. He played today with Dave Howard, another great local musician. He also runs a charter business out of Bristol/Barrington area.

He didn't quit. He sold his Glacia Bay and down size to a 21' Jones Brothers. He has gotten into stripers on the fly rod but still charters quite a bit.
