Russian Eagle invades Taunton River

seems a Steller's sea eagle that has been seen in my neck of the woods I saw 20 odd people with binoculars who clued me in on the excitement many have traveled to catch a glimpse

Looks like I’ll have to keep an eye out myself

Guppy I fished a pond in Attleboro today with the dog and we watched mature adult hunting for over an hour. Cool they’ve made a comeback. I know there is several nesting pairs at Norton reservoir and also Neponset res. Love watching them hunt

Damn Russians.

Years back on Cuttyhunk we watched a large seagull snag a rabbit and launch him into the rocks below the club.

Yeah, it was a big article in the paper. Do you suppose this has any connection with the current geopolitical situation?

This is apparently a big deal. It is on the other side of the globe from its natural habitat. People came from as far as the Carolina's to photograph this bird. While watching him along the river from Somerset north through Dighton they saw 10 Bald Eagles, 4 adult birds and 6 juveniles. Cool stuff!!

Massive. It dwarfed all the bald eagles around it. They’re normally 20#s and have an 8ft wingspan.

One woman interviewed who’s seen a ton of rare birds said it was a once in a lifetime experience. Tempted to take a ride, but must be a mob scene now with CNN covering it.
