Man Cave look back

Before my divorce some 15 years back, my office/man cave had a few mounts, which weren't going to a temporary apartment, so they were sold to recoup some costs. Mid 40's striper 6 lb pic and 9 lb largie all went to one new home for $300 back, a plug builder who sort of picked up a bad rap from others at local fishing shows, any guesses on who that was.

Knowing what I do now, in hindsight a ton of fish I keep and mounted or cooked or gave to neighbors would be released, better to breed and maybe be caught again by another lucky angler. Downloaded the Photomyne app to finally get some old photos downloaded, boy I killed a lot of nice fish, but some great memories of epic blitzes and good times.

I always got along with Scott and he always treated me right. We didn't always agree, but who does?

Nice striper mount.

Doesn't Salty have the record for being thrown off the most fishing websites in history?

Indeed.

A number of years ago one night a friend and I drifted eels at Robinsons hole. We headed to the dock to sell 27 bass between 20-40 pounds. I looked at him and said “ What the f*** are we doing?”
Never sold another. Just one man’s change of heart.

Btw… for what I paid for a Wally Brown job, $300 was a steal.

May fortune favor the foolish....

When I was liquidating a lifetime of gear on the bay, I was shocked at what people were willing to pay for plastic Super Strike poppers. Most of them cost me around 10 bucks. Depending on the color, some brought more than Beachmasters or original Habs.

Mike at this age .........I,ve been selling just about anything that,s mine [anything]

My hottest listing ... bid wise .was the smack-it popper

it didn.t matter if new/ in or out of the box /////so used it

didn,t look like a plug sold both on E/B & the other site

after a couple I knew to space them out ........never mind the messages in got from buyers .....top one was $48 plus shipping ........................ look around see what ya have ........... almost all my plastic stuff is gone ........its the custom plugs that are tough .especially if they arn,t signed .

sold everyone of my red fins .. less might be one on the wall

same with Gags grabbers .. only like 3 or 4 bombers left ........... all gone burple gone

on the other site I threw up & small atom poppers [new ......... gone
even most of the old rebels gone

ENJOY WHAT YOU HAVE !!!
