petition

Mike Hooper emailed me this, he deserves alot of credit on this and has worked hard.

Please follow this link to down-load a copy of the petition to restore
funding to Mass. Fish & Wildlife, as well as the Land Stamp Fund. If saving
F&W is important to you please drop off a copy at your local tackle shop,
and urge the management to support our petition!

http://home.comcast.net/~ifgf-petiti...ome.html-.html

I hope this works.

Thanks

Exclamation This is VERY IMPORTANT STUFF!

The Mass. Division of Fisheries and Wildlife is in serious peril now that the government has raided the dedicated funds from the Inland Fisheries and Game Fund and the Wildlands Acquisition Account and deposited them into the state's general tax fund to be spent at the whim of the administration.

If the money is not returned to those dedicated accounts in less than 30 days, Mass. sportsmen also will lose their share - $4.7 million - of federal taxes generated from the Pittman Robertson Act and the SportFish Restoration Program. Losing all this money will seriously affect MassWildife's programs, such as trout and pheasant stocking, Hunter Education, wildlife habitat acquisition and restoration, etc.

I urge everyone to get involved.

It looks like a bill has been put together to restore the fund to pre FY'04 status. I read about it here

Bill in process

See the response I got from FrankHynes in this thread:
Legislation to Restore the Inland Fish & Game Fund

Please, everyone, find your legislatures contact information.
Send them each a note by email, letter AND fax.
Give them each a call.

Let them know your opinions and ask for clarification or resolution.
