Florida Fishing rentals?

Does anyone know of any good fishing vacation packages?

I'm looking to book something for Dec 13-20th, and was wondering if anyone knew of any decent places to lodge & fish?...

Thanks.

Question

Don, whereabouts? I think you'll see a lot of stuff in Key West.

Let me get back to you tonight - I have a wonderful resource at home that goes over that major shore fishing spots (both fresh and salt) in this humungous state.

You'll have to get a saltwater fishing license, btw.

Bliz, the best fishing experience of my life (and I've been fishing since I was 8) was on the flats of Key West fishing for barracuda.
Cudas run over 40mph and on light tackle in water that is only 1 - 3 feet deep its a thrill of a lifetime.

DECEMBER IS PRIME CUDA TIME!

I've gone with a bunch of guides but capt. Dave on the boat Flats Fever is the best.
I think the web site is www.flatsfever.com
its expensive but worth it,

I have fished the flats a few times. The cudda are around like bluefish. That scream across the water and will hit another they see....sound familar. You may seem some Cobia following around rays...those guys are heavy and strong give them a shot.
Also if it is warm enough give some jacks a shot. Wish I was going with you. This is the best Captain I have found down there. Scott Kolpin.. 305.745.2335

Okay, I haven't been able to rummage up my directory of FL guides and lodging yet...(where ARE those newsletters when you need them), but a nice book that I have that is a directory of spots and how-to info is this:

I'm sure your local Barnes & Noble has it - that's where I picked up mine. Incredibly, Amazon is sold out.

If you do a search on "florida fishing" on amazon you will be astounded by what you will see. Aforementioned book is just one of many options...

Lemme get back to you on the other info...
