Is the Rand 4 speed wood lathe any good?

This high quality wood lathe includes:

Lathe width capacity = 21" between centers.
Lathe diameter capacity = 10-1/4" max diameter.
4 Drive speeds - 1020, 1500, 2100, 3000 RPM.
Motor is 1/2hp / 110V / 60hz / 1776rpm
Heavy-duty cast iron and steel construction.
The drive spindle is threaded 1"-8 tpi to accept the 6" face plate(included), or the included drive spur.
Easy, one lever adjust, ball bearing tail stock is threaded 3/4-16 with tail stock center.
Adjustable tail stock allows you to turn any size workpiece from approximately 1" in length up to 21"
Includes 12" tool rest.
Using the included 6" faceplate you can turn bowls, inside round pieces, or you can convert it to a disc sander.

looks like around $100 bucks or so new

ok rand 4 speed is out..
now another question..

Grizzly G8690 Variable Speed Wood Lathe 170.00 shipped
or the
JET 708351B/JWL-1014 14" Mini Lathe 180.00 pickedup

since it's only a $10 dollar difference

and let's say your buying for yourself on a $200.00 lathe budget.
which would you get?

I know s*it about wood lathes.. last lathe i worked on was a Logan 14" 6560 and a willis about 14 years ago.
