I have found out that when you have an antler like that some where on the same side there is a previous bullet wound .
I have a 10pt on the wall. one side is almost 1/2 the size in antler mass as the other. when we skun it out 2 previous bullets 1 which was in it's spine and healed over.

never heard that...makes sence that stress would do that. I know that abnormalities in racks are also caused by accidents in stages of velvet, could be non-typical to or bad genes. We're skin him tomorrow, I'll be lookin for wounds.

Not a big deal took a doe on Saturday, going back for the buck this saturday. Have seen deer every time out this year but could not score with the bow. Oh last saturday was my favorite type of hunting, a little weather, queit woods and me sneaking around to bust them bedding! Looks like you guys been doing alright too
