It won best line in a recent national tackle show thingy. I have heard that it's coating doesn't ware out very easily and it stays round doesn't bury itself yadda yadda. I'm going for it this year... 1 rod power pro 1 rod Super Braid. We'll see

I was given a 300yd spool of 50#, but its bright yellow.
I guess with a long shock leader it wont matter much?
I think I am going to go with Cortland Spectron on my conventional reels next season as from what everyone says its much less prone to wind knots and kinking up. Which is my only complaint with PP! Small kinks in PP weaken it bigtime!! Snapped off a 2.5 oz chumster needle because of that this past season!
Almost wanted to cry!!

Thanks.
I like the hi-vis line. All my reels have bright stuff. Sufix makes some real bright lines. I fish a long shocker, about 15 feet or so and tie an albright knot to my running line. The albright is great once your fingers have learned to seat it right. I use it with braid as well, though, here, many wraps are needed for a confident finish. The uni to uni is great too, but I don't think it trims up as nice.
I still fish mono, even when jigging the current, though two of my reels have braid. I side with Dave Pickering: don't toss your mono spools yet.
The reason I like the Hi-Vis lines, esp. when working jigs in a heavy current, is that you can follow the sweep of the jig by the angle of the line. Sometimes at night I lose contact with the jig; I think it is still off to my right say, when really it has swept pass my center and is on my left side. Braid helps here, but still I love following the line, sweeping in the tide. It is one reason I'm thinking of the stren.

I don't watch sports! Any of them! I hate sports
I was down turning a new rod, I hope to have it ready for epoxy tomorrow and i will do on Mon. The guy wants it for Xmas and this will be just about right. I hate to give it out without first letting hang around for 3 or 4 days so the epoxy gets hard. But he no's the deal so should be fine

Bud8, I've been using Cortland Spectron for the last few years. I love the stuff.
I heard they are not going to produce it anymore. Can anyone verify this?
