Talking Looking Back At 2003...Who Did You Fish With?

I had a great '03 season, and am looking forward to another one in '04.

Just out of curiosity...who did you fish with this year?

Who would you like to fish with in '04?

Here's a bunch of fine people I was fortunate to spend time with in '03 (sorry if I left anyone else out), in order of trips:

Bassmaster
Slipknot
Milo
Fishpart

Crazy Alberto
Rock Hopper
Surfpirate

JohnR

MrMacey
Clammer

Eel Punt
Gilligan
BM's buddy Mike
Eben
Eben's buddy Eric (?)
Specialist
Bud8fan
BasicPatrick
Goose (Tony were you out on Quonnie that night?)

Notaro
Gloucester2
Swede
Tlapinski
Christian
Christian's Dad
Chubsdad
Capt. Mike B

InterPlanetaryAngler

I'd like to fish with these guys again and anyone else whom I haven't fished with.

From the board;
John R at Q, probably countless others, I dont chat alot...
For the MDA fished with some people from RISAA I didnt know, that was fun... met BasicPatrick and Bob the last morning (I was the dumb bass who nailed the tern with the gibbs popper.. thats when I quit and went home lol

Fished alone alot... took alot of ribbing for having a VS, but thats ok...

Fished with my brother once, my gf a few times (day fishing in the boat) my father alot; even got him out to Q once, his first trip to a breachway...

Would like to fish with anyone from this board who wants to fish with me; everyone here seems cool, but would like to fish with some other locals I have probably passed more times than we know coming off the beach.....
but definetly want to hook up with RIJIMMY, we've discussed it but never managed it, same with Eben, and anyone else who fishes 'gansett to c-town....

Happy Winter! Bring spring!

Bryan

I’m with you RIR, I’ve probably walked by a bunch of folks from this site in the darkness and fog without saying a word. I usually keep to myself. I did meet Blackeye in ‘Gansett sometime @ Oct and Piemma @ Sept.
I sort of feel like I fished with a bunch of you just by trading stories and tips.
I’d like to fish with RIR (I look for the OAK jacket) Eben, RIWilhem, FWW, Krispy, Toonoc, JohnR, Joe L. I’m sure we’ve passed each other. I’d also like to have some mid-week flexibility for the JohnR –“anyone heading down to So Co tonight” spontaneous trips. I’ll have to save some sick days for that. I found this site in June and it took my awhile to figure out what was going on with the get togethers. I’d like to participate in the tourneys. I’m not sure if 2004 will be my year…..each day closer to spring brings me closer to the birth of my son (@5/26), and I’m growing pretty anxious about having a newborn at home again. I’m crazy about kids but those first 3 months are hell. I’m hoping I will be having “normal” nights just in time for the fall run. Those all night feeding/crying sessions will keep me in shape for fishing!

Wee Wee did we really fish though I mean you were waving that fairy wand around but .......I digress..:

Yes I met up with weewee one day, Ive fished with Throwing Timber a bunch and the elusive Blackeye a couple of times..fished next to Tattoo a few times but I never know that it was him....and how could I forget my trip out with Bud8fan..... you friggen nut next time we'll hammer the fish... from stripers online, I fish with Frick a bunch.. AS far as fishing with off board members, I do the sunrise deal down at narragansett with all of the oldtimers.. its a blast and I feel like I have 10 grandfathers who look at me as their own.
I also have a great friend who owns a resteraunt in stonington CT and has a 24ft hydrosport and spend a bit of time on sugar reef and watchhill reef catching really really big bass that dont count, so I never mention it here

Zero.

This year was bleak. Fished with someone else only a sad number of times--maybe ten tides. The rest was solo. This year was a great year for me--both size and numbers of sizable fish. In the surf I consider any fish over 18lbs to be a fine fish. And any fish over 30lbs to be a really fine fish. The forty missed me this year by a hair. I'm into this site, and you guys seem handy with the rod and the reel, some, no doubt, handier than me.
I fish hard and all the time, often going to work the next day as some kind of wandering idiot. If there are any other wandering, bleery-eyed, idiots in the group then I'd love to fish with you. Man this is starting to sound like a lonely man looking for a lonely women sorta thing......................................

Talking Good Times!

I started my season, I believe, down at Onsets Shell Point Beach and though I did not get to fish with him I think I saw Notaro??? He will know! I hope to meet him this Saturday! I had the pleasure of fishing with my usual stable of fishing buddies.....my buddy Joe (who we are constantly trying to get him to sign onto this site instead of just lurking)! I fished quite a bit with one guy from this site who I must admit, the first time we agreed to hook up and do some fishing, I had him meet me down the Race just in case he was not up to the task of fishing his butt off all nite long and I will tell you that he is every bit as crazy as any of us and that is my newest fishing buddy Slingah! There are few people that I will fish with in any possible place and weather condition and Slingah is one! Fished quite a bit with outgoing MSBA President BasicPatrick and new MSBA President Bobbike...both great guys to fish with! I had two of my best outings with Fisherwoman, we fished the Habah from her boat and slammed blues all day...damn good time right FW? The second outing was on my turf at the Race along with myself and Fisherwoman was her guy Baitcaster...always wanted to fish with them, and I hope to fish with them alot next season! Fished quite a bit with Redlite, always bumping into him...(man he is a good fisherman)! Ran across many of you down the Backside this season JohnR, Bonefish, Glassguy, met IFishInVT on the Race one afternoon....he gave me a couple of his homemade plugs and for that I thank him! (hope to fish the Race with you IFishVT next summer)! I had a great season, mostly because of all of the different people I got to fish with, I did not catch my biggun', but I had a ball anyway! Oh....and I can't forget that I fish alot with my girlfriend FishChick! She is a pretty good fisherwoman too! Fished with Tagger and Newell Guy a little at a spot we call "Local"...both great guys (and plug makers)! I hope I did not forget anyone????? If I did please respond!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Notaro,
It's alive!!!
ALIVE!!!
Mikey's boat's still dead, though; you probably don't want to go out in that one.
Couple o' finishing touches and I should be looking at going out mid June or so.
Later,
Rick

Penn, Shimano, Salty's Plugs, Gibbs, Bomber, Yo-zuri, PowerPro, Gamakatsu, Ande, SeaGuar, VMC, Lead, ACME, Atom, Tattoo's Plugs, Habs Plugs, My Truck, The Seagulls, and a bunch more....

Ya i know, but they all have personalities.. I tell my truck to get me there.. my rods and reels not to fail.. my line not to break.. my tackle to catch fish.. and the gulls to show me where they are...

Best part is they dont talk back..(except the gulls but i don't understand them)

But i always welcome the next person that want to wet a line.. even when there is not enough room for myself.. hehe

HA!HA! Katie...10??? gee I lost count!
Unfortunately I didnt get fish fish with many this year ...girls day was about the only time I think

I DID however get to fish with my hubby a bit more, my best freind a LOT, spent more time fishing by myself this year, and a few other "assorted trips" with some friends.
