Squid Jigs

Just got a couple of yozuri squid jigs....is there any Squid still in Narragansett Bay?? Can you only fish for them at night? What is the technique you should use?

Thanks for the info!

I haven't been to the lower Bay in some time. This is the time when they would be in tight through Narragansett and especialy in through the Newport area... The best way to go for them is at night from a lighted pier or dock. The light attracts many of the small baitfish that they chase and that's where you will find the squid...

I've found Yozuri's work best with a jig and pause action. Two years ago at BI I watched squid attack Yo jigs in the shallows. They really love 'em!

Other jigs use a more jig/twitch action. You may have to experiment which works best.
