Safety gear

I bought 4 used Sterns survival suits on e-bay reciently for $90.00 a suit all are in very good condition, cost of new ones $275.00-$300.00 If you watch e-bay there are some usually there every week.
I bought a new Pains Wessex 406 manual release epirb from Consumers marine electronics, paid $579.00 the best price I found anywhere, plus no tax or shipping cost.
Hope this helps. Ron

For an EPIRB you might want to go over to noreast.com in the offshore section, they'rre trying to put together a group buy on EPIRBs.

Vector, have a look here...

Their EPIRB prices are pretty good. Think this will be the year I spend the dough....

Hooper,
I didn't go look at their prices but landfall has always been one of the most expensive places to buy thos thing. Sign up for group deal at noreast and see what happens, no obligation. I got a killer deal on a life raft and an epirb from a group buy on there last year.

I thought EPIB prices were pretty good...

I use Consumer Marine as a benchmark....

ACR's GlobalFix 406 Cat I at Landfall is 999.00 and 1098 at Consumers, unless I am misreading it or there is another mistake. At least worth a look!

The problem with a group EPIRB buy is that everyone wants a different unit.

I would want one that has its own GPS built in.

mako., what kind of raft did you get ? how big? how much?

Sandy,
We all got Vikings, I got the six man SOLAS raft and a cat I epirb with built in GPS, IIRC I paid about $4 grand for both.
FWIW, we all got different rafts/epirbs, we were able to mix and match, just the brands had tobe the same.
If anyone is interested we're tryiing to set up group buys right now on SST charts and a bench crimper.

I might be interested in a group buy on an EPIRB, a raft, and/or survival suits. I'd say PM me but I can't figure out how to get it to work on this site. Aslo might be interested in a radar group buy.

Can you say group buy on 225 HP outboards? lol
