Squeateague in the Bay

Nice surprise this morning among the schools of busting bass in Narragansett Bay. I landed a 39" 12.5 Squeateague on a 4" storm shad. Beautiful fish. Towed the kayak around giving me a nantucket sleigh ride. Great way to start the season.

That is a nice Tiderunner. They have been making a nice showing here in the Great South Bay and Peconic Bay. It's always a nice treat!

OUTSTANDING!! really. That is a grad fish!

Do you know they still allow gill netters in some places to take them in the bays when they are spawning....it is really a shame. I would love to see a strong comeback of weakfish

Nice catch...I love weakfish and we just never get em here in the Boston area besides one every 6 years or so....

Definitely a cyclical fish. Enjoy them when they are around, conserve them when you can. Just love them colors.

I need some help figuring out how to post the picture. I have attached the file but it keeps coming back that the size is too large. Can anyone help me figure this out. I can email to you and you can post if that helps?

Thanks
