Found of Road Dead
Well, my explorer (1996) is acting up yet again...
in the last year..
New Shocks
New Axle Bearing
misc other small repairs..
and Now... a new Catalytic converter...
I'm just grumpin, it's been a good car given the type of mileage and lower than average maintanence I give it, (always good about oil changes) but I learned I need to start washing the undercarriage more frequently etc.. she needs to last 4 more years, till I get a 'real' job for now cant afford new wheels!

Wife and I had Tauruses. Took good care of them with regular maintenance- oil changes, brakes, tuneups. They ran fine up til 70,000 miles and then they fell apart. Fuel pumps, starters, radiators, heater cores, etc.

i had the ford from hell..
worst truck i ever bought.. 97 f150.. started leaking tranny fluid at 15000, 3 transmission pans, 8 gaskets and a tailcone assembly later they fixed it.. 22 recalls, and tiny ford focus loaners.. what a joke.. i traded it in with 66000 miles and
a short time later one of the mechanics spun a bearing in the motor..
glad i got rid of it when i did..
i will never own one again.. i'd rather drive a yugo..
