New Guy on the block!!!

Ive been a very serious fresh water fisherman all my life. Mainly bass fishing. Ive bought the $200 rods the whole bit. I have got some real big large mouths. Then one of my best freinds took me out for schoolie action with my bass gear. that was the best fishing ever. Then we went again and again just for shoolie's. then we got or ultra light trout rods and really had a blast!!!!!!!!

Any ways im getting into salt now and i got a job on a six pack charter boat going out of hampton beach NH. I will have my licence soon so i will be able to get fare and wide. I have never even caught a keeper yet!!!! so when i do my name will up to Catch1 and so on. Im right next to the merrimac river but i dont have a boat. I think i will get a kayake just for Joppa flats. I have been there before night fishing and it was NUTS I had my Quantum baitcaster reel with this new braid from spider wire that just stunk so bad. I lost like 5 fish and my luck they were all keepers We were using chunk mac and top water super spooks.

Well to get to the point i dont know much but want to learn. WHat are the tychniques you guys us for surf and kayak fishing? I think i might do alot of live eel fishing. i just got a casting net last night and its awsome. I went out to practice today and got boat loads of sun fish in fresh water. I will get some minnow traps for eels soon too. What do you guys think?

IM SICK OF FRESH WATER ITS BIG BOY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sign up with the Plum Island Surfcasters. Great group of guys and they are more than willing to help. I joined in the winter and have been learning a lot through them and this website. Their main focus is on that area for for fishing and there are plenty of guys there who fish the Joppa flats as well as Plum Island and Newburtport area.

They also run a Great kids program. $30 covers the entire family for a 1 year membership.

Here's there link to there website

Hope to see you at the next meeting...
