What a flukin' day!
Well I am finally starting to zero in on those larger fluke. Today was my best day yet!
I was out fished by my kids (again) and the one kid picked up a 10'er and the the othe several in the mid 7's.
What a day! I think in the end we had 5 fish in the 7# class the one 10#er and at least 15 other fish that were very respectible! Like 4, 5 6#ers.
I am beat! (just finished cleaning them all)
The fluke derby is tough to win. You think when I weighed in a 7.5# fish that it would at least stay on the board for more then an hour?...nope! My son ran out to look at the board after dinnner...DAD! I am still in first place for the kids but you are bumped off completely!!!! You need a 13# fish to get back on . (I knew this would be the case) and then he said...and the "heavy hitters didn't weigh in their fish yet "
I will give it hell tomorrow. But it is humbling to be so outfished...let me tell you.

Gave it all today....lil guy got an 8.4... the best I could muster was a 5.6.. a few good drifts of 4#ers though and some 3-4# sea bass. I need some sleep now.
Winner fluke (for men) was 13.3...(you should have seen this thing...huge!)
I think third place as 12.2 some of these guys are awesome flukers...year after year they do it. I saw several of 10#er's weighted in and they did not ever make the board.
Anyone want some fluke...my freezer overflowith.

It must be the quiet new 4 stroke
Congrats Sandman, and tell fluke head he's a trend setter, I'm going to try the same thing on my two boys either tonight or this weekend. Momma aint gonna like it, but what else is new.
Kids catching fish, it just don't get better than that!!

Sandman I gotta get me some of them, hopefully with any luck I will be back on the water this weekend, maybe head that way depending on weather and such. I know the weekend of the 24, 25 my boy will be camped out with my parents at Cuttyhunk for the Sea Ray weekend and I will definately be around then, we should hook up.

final results... http://www.mvtimes.com/News/gonefishin.htm
Vec, I am headed to CH on sunday the 25th for a few days of R&R at "the club". I will be bringing the boat but mainly plan to read, walk around and surf fish at night. I think I many head back on wed or so.
