Try following the accelerator cable to the intake on top of the enging , and see if there is an other cable going down to the tranny or a linkage instead if a cable.
Try soaking it with some penetrating oil like wd40 or another and crawl under and try spraying where it connects to the tranny,
then try moving the gas peddle back and forth a bunch of time to see if it frees up.

Just drive it, if it ain't dead yet, Bubba, it just ain't gonna die.

Why not? I know guys that sometimes put on 100 plus miles a night, chasing fish 5P.M. till 3 or 4 A.M.
If you live in Falmouth and go to P-town and back, theres an easy 100 plus miles, without hunting around.
Cape might not be as small as you think.
Fish ain't always in the hole closest to you, either, wind and other factors, sometimes screws it up, and you got to hunt.

Actually Karl, I put on 120 plus. It's 65 miles from my housetp the Race Point parking lot. I put 52,000 on the blazer in a year and a half. Fishing the beaches 4 nights a week and the 62 mile round trip to work each day.
|
Why even try.........

It adds up quick Flap.
I loved it years and years ago, when I was first married, my in-laws said to my wife, "Well, you won't need 2 cars on the Cape"
Yeah........
Right!

in P-Town, if you drop your pants and moon some mechanics, you might get free service both in the rear and on your tranny!
