Update on Bill Maher

As most of you remember, Bill Maher, host of Politically Incorrect said, "We have been the cowards lobbing cruise missiles from 2,000
miles away," said Bill Maher, the host of Politically Incorrect.
"That's cowardly. Staying in the airplane when it hits the building,
say what you want about it, it's not cowardly."

Jay Leno's show plays twice here a night. The late night, Maher was one of the guests. Much to my displeasure, he got an applause from the audience when he walked out on stage. Leno wanted to give him a chance to explain what he said.

Basically, Maher said that he blames the people who calls the shots in the US for this whole problem. He said we've known for a long time about Osama Bin Laden. What I got from him is that this problem should have been dealt with sooner. Two of our Embassies in Africa (US Soil) were bombed, the USS Cole (US ship) was attacked in Yemen but people weren't as outraged as this. He says he supports our military and when he said the word coward, he was referring to the Clinton Administration for not dealing with these problems.

I do have to agree with him on that.

So what do you guys think of Bill Maher? Is he just trying to dig himself out of a great big hole?

BTW, if you think Leno is funny or not, you have to admit he is a great guy. He has donated one of his harleys. All the stars that are on his show are signing it and it's being auctioned on eBay.com. Stars like Pamela Anderson, Cuba Gooding Jr. (who also worked a phone at the telethon), Nicholas Cage, Michael Richards (Kramer), Arnold Swartzenegger, Tim Allen and a whole bunch of people have signed it already.

This whole thing has really put a different face on Hollywood. People have really come out to donate money. I think the Backstreet Boys, Sandra Bullock, Dr. Dre have donated a million bucks each. Jay Leno has done his part. Angelina Jolie has given money to get refugees out of Afghanistan. She is also the Ambassador of Refugees and has worked in Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, and Albania. N*Sync gave 10 grand. Really makes you think these hollywood people, who have had a nasty image put on them, are real people too.

The irony of Osama's attack is he was trying to destroy us, and he's brought people from all walks of life closer together.
