ohhh I'm ready to kill someone. As some of you know I make glass for a living and i use lots and lots of propane. they just doubled my propane rate without even a notification.. if i didnt use so much it wouldnt be such a big deal, but his could put me out of business
why oh why did i choose this profession???

Dude that sucks big time...They do the same to us, the rate changes in huge swings with no notice at all...you would think because of the volume you use you could get a better deal...

Screw them. When I put on the addition I got a new oil burner with 2 tanks for the oil.
I fill up only 2 times a year. And it costs less now with a much larger house that it did before the addition.
I remember when that pipeline from Canada was going thru. They said there would always be more supply than the demand; As soon as it was done they upped the prices and said there is a shortage.

Amerigas SUCKS!!! I freakin hate them. They sent me bills twice for 100 bucks because I didn't buy enough gas! WTF!! Then they owe me 3 million cos I didn't paint their fleet. We went through 2 tanks of gas in about a week and I told them to replace the regulator. They said that there was nothing wrong with it. I said I smell gas. Got a new one. It didn't work at all. called them Friday night and beyotched. They ho hummed. I said that I smelled gas. A tech showed up and fixed it. Then I dumped their sorry butts and went through another company. I pay half of what I did with those morons.

Eben,
If you don't mind me asking,
How big of a tank or tanks do you have and how much they charging a gal ?
I use propane to heat my garage, I have a 100 gal tank out back and haven't had a fill yet this year.
Last year it went close to $ 3.00 a gal

I've got a commercial propane heater with a 100 gal tank for the garage/turning shop. I filled the tank today at $2.20/gal!!! OUCH! It's gonna be an expensive winter!
