Wink The fun side of winter.

A few pics from the last couple of days. Rode a few hundred miles this week from my house up to New Hampshire.

That's a pretty fast sled you got there.
Hey where do the downriggers & spreader bars mount on that sled?

NICE SLEDS MA MAN ,& THE LOVELY LADY OF YOURS TOO !!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got into this ,mine and my bro's are no where near as nice as yours (we have 2 Polaris) as were just starting out. You & your wife ever ride in the Adirondacks NY ? We got some pretty country up there also. I cant wait.
Icefishing , a little skiing and SLEDS are not a bad way to spend the Winter months .

Bob, The sled moves pretty good.

Tinman, It is almost as addicting as fishing, almost . But what better way to enjoy the winter. It gets me outdoors, away from people and the jobs. There is no sense in sitting inside and complaining.

I have never been sledding in the Adirondacks, I have been there in the summer and loved it. Where do you guys go when you head up there?
If not this year I am going to do some more traveling next year. I belong to a snowmobile forum where there are a lot of guys from the Tug Hill area of NY and the Adirondacks so next year it is a possibility. Any Polaris will do for a sled. I still have my 88 Indy 400 and it still runs like new with 7,000 miles on it. In New England winter is inevitable so get out and enjoy it. I also ski, snowboard, snowshoe and ice fish.

Hello Tynan19

Nice Sled!!! My brother (Tinman) and I hit Schroon Lake in the Adirondacks (about 40 miles North of Lake George) whenever possible. Our parents have a little bungalow on the east shore which is great for the summer. Winter is a little ruff as there is no running water…..makes for a good MAN ONLY weekend out!

My friend just sold his sled but wants back in. He used to rent a house for the season with other buddies up in Old Forge (not positive on name) NY. Supposedly they have miles of trails up there, but is getting crowded and dangerous at times. I had his sled up over 110 on Schroon a few winters ago. If you've every been on a sled you'll know what I mean when it say it’s a wild ADRENALIN RUSH! Really can't do that, nor want to, on the trails but on an open lake with just a layer of crust and snow…….

I'm actually interested in a ski trailer. Preferably an enclosed box trailer of all aluminum with a v-nose. If you know anybody or got some advice please PM me. Thanks!

Maybe we'll all meet up one day and hit the trails!

NJ thanks last year on ice I did a little racing 110 plus no problem. You have to get low because that wind can almost pull you off. After 100 it gets a little hairy.
Old Forge has a great trail system and good riding. Like your friend said it gets crowded because it is good. I hear a lot of people like to drink and fly around the trails up there. I would think that during the week and daytime would be ok. Just up in that area this summer North of Lake George beautifull country and not a bad drive, lots to do outdoors wise.
I will PM you some info on trailers.

We are going to try heading to N.Y. feb 18-21.

Have you ridden trails around the southern region of lake george???? Worth trying??
We were going to try Oneida County for new years but cancelled due to lack of snow.

110MPH is insane. Draggin across a two mile lake I saw 90 on the speedometer, I got on her a little more and when I tried looking at my speed again I couldnt look down (wind). Then I hit a snow drift and crapped my pants.

Well it is snowing now so I am happy and the Pats won. Jenn I would say the trails around lake George would be well worth it. The area up there is conducive to tourists and is easy to get to. I know the weather hasn't been cooperative but we will have to see what happens the rest of the winter. I know NY outside of the Lake Effect Snow hasn't gotten much snow at all. It has also been warmer than here.

NJ and Tinman that would be cool to get up there around the same time as you def. stop by for a few beers. We shall see. I also thought of a good site for trailers. Getamotorcycle.com has a link to find trailers all through New England.
