Boston cod and haddock

Made my first cod fishing trip with my own boat to the Boston area Thurday. Started at the "B" bouy one keeper on bait and some shorts, moved to the "BF" bouy, much faster bite both bait and jigs, thou 10 to 1 shorts to keepers. Moved to the north end of the bank and found a nice pocket of cod and haddock, get a couple of good drifts in 180 to 160 foot of water over them before the tide changed and the bite slowed. Weather was great til late when the wind picked up out of the east on the ride back in. We ended the day with 9 cod and 10 haddock, biggest cod close to 10 lbs, very happy for the first trip to Boston area.

Tight Lines!!!!
