Celts Playoffs Start this Weekend
Been a long time waiting, maybe with the new talent on the team they can
at least get past the first round.
It would be great to see a third championship NE team this year....

Remember 2 years ago (maybe 3 It's a little hazy) they made it to the Eastern Conference Finals.....
They Should get past Indiana, Detroit and Miami are tough, although Miami has been playing terrible as of late and Shaq is kind of beat up.
Its just asking to much from the guy upsatirs for a 3rd Championship team this season.

Celtics basketball was my favorite sport for the longest time. I can remember watching Russell with my father as a kid then the Cowens , Haveliceck team in college and then the "Glory years" when Bird came on board. Then Larry got hurt and retired , Bias croaked and so did Reggie and the whole team went to nothing. I lost interest. Basketball as a whole is so poor now that if you watched it in the 70's and 80's , you wonder what happened to the talent in the league. The best guys in the league now couldn't even have made the first Dream Team and now we can't even beat lithuania in the Olypics with pros playing. Its like the sport got a terminal illness.
anyway , I hope the Celtics do well and the sport is revived in this area again.

I have been on the bandwagon since Walker came back.....They probably won't win it all, but I think they will be fun to watch.

Its hard to watch the NBA now a days. It's such ghetto ball its boring. Everyone just stands around while one guy drives to the basket. Plus the loud pumping music in the backround while the game is in play is so gay. be nice to see the Celts go far but i dont care. The NBA just stinks if you ask me!

Apparently you did not watch the first game, great effort by the bench, super plays, lots of passing and fast breaks. Looked great. GO CELTS !!!
Remember not everyone likes the same things. Thats what makes us unique!

I agree Van; grew up at the end of the 80's championship era, but loved the old C's as a kid.. The new C's are a pretty solid team as far as fundementals go, although they have occasional vacations as a hot-dog team..
Skip... I dont know if Gay is the right word for the pumping music; I went to a game last season and while I'm not a hip-hop fan, I enjoyed myself, even though they were just playing the wizards...

i also agree with you skip about the character of the league and the quality of play. i agree with david sterns that the league needs an age limit. the quality of play, especially in the eastern conference, is so poor that it is sometimes unbearable to watch.
i love the game though and have always been a huge celts fan. this team should be interesting to watch in the next few seasons as they have really put together a solid group of young players...

While this team is not nearly as exciting as those great Celts teams of the 80's they have kept my interest. They have some good veterans with a nice mix of some good young talent. I think they have a good chance against any team in the East besides Miami.

What a come back last night, just too litle too late.
They looked pretty good, but Mr. Pierce has to give up the ball more often, he can't do it al by himself.
I think they can win the next one, and bring it back home for a WIN !!!!

I saw it as well, thought they might pull it off, but... Pierce is forcing it, he needs to draw the d and pass it away.. They did look pretty good though, I think it was West that was pressing hard, he was playing some great in your face D....

Got that right, they are just to inconsistent. Blow them out one night, and play crappy the next.
One more try to force it to 7 and bring it back home. I think they can do it.
Hope so//
Also heard they may not keep Walker, he does not have a contract with the green. He definately sparked something in this team. KEEP HIM....
